Major Capstone Completed: Participant Achieves Career Milestone in the 2nd & 3rd Life Career Program

Baltimore, MD – July 23, 2025, The 2nd & 3rd Life Career Program is proud to announce a major achievement by one of its participants this quarter. A woman in the program has successfully completed a significant capstone project in her field of study, marking a critical milestone in her career transformation journey.

This project, completed independently, is a powerful demonstration of her growth, confidence, and readiness to re-enter the workforce. It reflects the skills and training she received through the program and represents a body of work that will be central to her resume and professional profile.

By completing this capstone, she is no longer seen as someone with a resume full of unexplained gaps. Instead, she presents herself to future employers with strong, relevant accomplishments, credible references, and practical experience. Her success is a testament to the mission of the 2nd & 3rd Life Career Program , to empower adults who are restarting or changing their careers with education, mentorship, and emotional support.

This major capstone symbolizes more than just a completed project. It signifies readiness for long-term employment, confidence in her chosen field, and the ability to contribute meaningfully in a professional setting.

The 2nd & 3rd Life Career Program is committed to ensuring that each participant graduates with not only the skills but also the self-belief to build a fulfilling career.

How It Works

✔️ Personal Assessments Each participant completes a practical skills and strengths assessment to clarify what they do best

✔️ Life Experience Inventory The program works with participants to identify skills they have developed through parenting, caregiving, community work, or volunteering

✔️ Career Growth Mapping Staff stay up to date on current career trends to align each participant’s pathway with industries that are hiring and have room to grow

✔️ Relevant Training and Certification From graphic design and administrative support to tech skills and customer service, training is tailored to each person’s goals and what employers need

✔️ Mentorship and Mental Health Support Participants don’t walk this journey alone. The program provides encouragement, coaching, and referrals to mental health resources if needed

Real Results

Graduates have found new careers that feel meaningful because they are rooted in who they already are. Participants have earned certifications, started businesses, and returned to school for additional education with confidence that they are not wasting time or money.

The 2nd & 3rd Life Career Program is especially valuable for adults who have been out of the workforce, single parents, and people recovering from setbacks who want to rebuild without starting over completely.
