September 20, 2024 – Baltimore, MD — Causing to Forget, a minority women-run nonprofit dedicated to rejuvenating and restoring burned-out leaders, is proud to announce its continued support for emerging entrepreneurs through educational funding and resources. This initiative aligns with the organization’s mission to foster healing, growth, and sustainability among leaders, entrepreneurs, and faith leaders.
Through generous support from donors, Causing to Forget recently funded a crucial class for one of the entrepreneurs in its program, enabling them to further their education and take an essential step toward their business goals. This funding is part of the organization’s broader commitment to providing comprehensive support, which includes counseling, immersive retreats, and transformative educational workshops.
“Our leaders and entrepreneurs, particularly those from first-generation homes, often lack the financial backing, capital, or safety nets like 401ks to pull from,” says Yolanda Palmer, Executive Director of Causing to Forget. “They need encouragement and practical resources to turn their innovative ideas into successful ventures. We’re here to provide those ‘seed’ opportunities to help them achieve their dreams.”
Causing to Forget creates a nurturing environment where leaders can rediscover their passion and purpose, away from the stress and pressures that lead to burnout. The organization’s holistic approach combines faith-based healing with practical support, allowing leaders to return to their communities with renewed vigor and clarity.
Yolanda Palmer, who has over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, leads the organization with a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by leaders in both urban and rural communities. Her extensive background includes speaking engagements at the United Nations, the Balm In Gilead, and various conferences, where she has shared her expertise in restructuring organizations and creating effective community-based programs.
“Causing to Forget is not just a place of refuge; it’s a launching pad for leaders to regain their strength and push forward,” Palmer continues. “Our goal is to connect leaders and entrepreneurs with the partners and resources they need to thrive.”
With ongoing support from donors and partners, Causing to Forget is poised to expand its impact, helping more leaders and entrepreneurs achieve their potential. The organization welcomes new partnerships and contributions to continue its vital work.
