The Need
Many leaders are quietly exhausted, wounded, or unsure of how to start again. Disenfranchised leaders, burned out leaders, and career restarters often have few safe places to rest, process, and heal.
Causing to Forget is a nonprofit organization that offers leadership healing and second chances. We focus on helping these leaders find a place to breathe, heal, and receive the tools they need to have lasting impact again.
Your Impact
- $25 helps provide resources and materials for a leader in transition.
- $50 supports a coaching or care session for a burned out or wounded leader.
- $100 and more helps underwrite programs that give leaders time, space, and tools to start again.

A Second Chance: A Leader We’ll Call Sarah
One nonprofit leader we walked with, a woman we’ll call Sarah, lost everything in a single night. A fire destroyed her home and everything she and her children owned. Without insurance, and because her situation did not qualify as “absolute poverty” by traditional measures, she could not access the help she needed. She was leading a work that served others, yet when crisis came, there was no safety net for her own family.
Causing to Forget launched an initiative called Laugh for a Cause to stand in the gap. Through the generosity of partners like you, we were able to help Sarah secure housing, provide school supplies for her children, and give her a fresh financial start. She received what every leader in crisis deserves: a real second chance.
